I hold a Bachelor's degree in mass communications from Seton Hall University. While there, I received military leadership training in the R.O.T.C program and was proud to be commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. I received my Master's degree in Media Writing from Johns Hopkins University.

Thankfully, my career has given me the opportunity to get to know people from all walks of life. I started broadcasting as a news anchor with USA Today in Washington, DC and then was an anchorwoman for an ABC affiliate in Mississippi. I've worked in the field of public relations and also was a media and communications coordinator for the City of Virginia Beach. I am also president of my own professional writing and editing business called Christopher Corporate Communication.  

More than anything I believe in the core values that have made our country so great: Family, Faith, and Community. I am blessed with a loving family. My husband, Lieutenant Commander Damien Christopher is an F/A-18 pilot in the US Navy and a United States Naval Academy Graduate. We have two terrific sons who are seven and five years old. We live in the Christopher Farms subdivision and attend St. Nicholas Catholic Church.
